I am 99.9 percent sure that I am one of the most ridiculously clumsy people.. if not in Europe then for sure in this country.
Let me paint you a picture.. I am a cheerful person. I try to wake up and put my best foot forward with a smile on my face. Isn't that just wonderful? Although there is one small hitch.. that foot usually ends up stepping on a fork from last night's lasagna which I allowed my dog to finish in carnivorous manner.
Yes. That has legitimately happened and although I try to keep that smile of my face and not cry from the pain of recently stabbed foot it's sometimes just a big.. you get the point.
Anyway, true story. About two days ago I woke up all happy and ready to kick start my day.. little did I know that's exactly what I did. Quite literally.. I fell over my kicks. For some of you that may not know what kicks are, they are shoes. Yes, shoes.
Let's stop for a moment so you can cool down from all of the laughter that pun had brought you.
Either way, back to the story. Moments after I get myself up and decide to make myself a cup of tea I hit a chair.. with my abdomen which also results in me jamming the little toe of my right foot into one of the legs of that chair.
Now I know why all of my fingers are crooked.. A literal wardrobe fell on both of my big toes (seperate times, same wardrobe), I jammed my toes into my little brother's doors countless times when I tried to get in for God knows what reasons.. so my toes are just crooked bones jammed and wrapped in the packaging that is my flesh.
Of course I cannot forget about that one time when I woke up at 4 o'clock in the morning and out of nowhere decided that I wanted a sandwich. Next thing I know, I'm cutting the roll in my hand with a chef's knife. It felt kind of weird, so I put both the bread and the knife away and proceeded on to the bathroom. As it turned out I had literally cut my very flesh … because I didn't notice the difference between the bread and my hand.
Yes.. I am surprised that I haven't seriously injured myself yet, too.
The clumsiness has no end, there are so many times that I've hurt myself because.. just because.
My conclusion is to just try to be more mindful.. since most of those times I was daydreaming about something apparently more important than the reality.
Do you have any conclusions? Are you clumsy or are you an everyday ninja?
Let me know in the comments below and have a colourful day in this world of black and white.
