Warning: if you're easily upset by criticism and, or graphic language, I suggest caution while reading this post. I am only pointing the attention at the details I talk about below. This is not a hate post.
The first things you see when you enter PETA.ORG.UK are the words 'slaughter' and 'torture'.
My issue with that is, when I go on a website that is supposed to promote animal respect and peace I want to see good things.
If I wanted to see seals being slaughtered I would just google that.
What repels me the most is that PETA's homepage contains words that spread hatred.
My heart is broken when the first thing I see is a poor animal being tortured.
I know these causes exist so please don't force them onto me as you wouldn't your arse.
If you want more people involved I'd suggest putting all the bad news in a seperate tab.
I understand that you want to catch a reader's eye but it's PETA. Everybody knows PETA.
Wouldn't world be so much more peaceful and wonderful if instead of spreading hate we spread love?
I do strongly dislike people that treat animals badly but I'd much rather be PRO something than AGAINST.
PRO love, PRO vegan shoes, PRO animal freedom. I don't know about you, but I feel much more content with that.
I understand, that animal cruelty must be taken care of and I will support any cause that helps do that but still, putting that on your homepage only makes me want to leave.
One of the pages I admire so much is PANDAS INTERNATIONAL. Their website is so peaceful and inviting.
Still, people will be people and we all try to do our best.
If you're pro animal freedom, please share this post and contribute to these organisations as much or as little as you can.
Let us know your opinion about this and other organisations. Please be respectful.
Have a delightful day.
Whether you need a little push or just like the genre, these reasons are more pointed towards You rather than why 'the books are great'.
If you just don't like this genre or Harry Potter in general, nobody can force you to read or watch it. You do you. :)
One of those short childhood stories. Let me know if you want more of these.
When I was little I attended a Junior Music School for a couple of years. I remember that I would go there after my public school classes and have violin lessons.
I didn't have a phone back then, so I had to use the payphone placed in the hall of the building. It was about 30 cents per call I think. I don't know why, but I rarely had the money to buy it.
My guess is that I spent it on hard candy and soda in the local shop. Please don't tell my mom.
Anyway, if I didn't have the 30 cents, I asked the school's secretary to 'put it on my bill' for the 100th time.
I did feel kind of awkward, but for some reason there was a bad ass touch to it, as if I'm getting special treatment.
I was a weird child and when I got any special treatment it made me feel good about myself.
Now I think I was kind of an asshole.
The secretary looked at me with slight despise but did it anyway. I'm guessing she didn't want to - and she didn't have to - but how are you going to tell a child that they can't call their parent to pick them up?
My classes often finished at 7 pm or later and I couldn't walk home at that hour.
Well.. not until I was 14 or so.
At the end of the day or week my mom would pay for 'my bill'.
Thanks for reading. What are some times you felt like a bad ass at a very young age?
Story time: Why 'Keep Calm' posters aren't bs
Bourbon and poor choices A.K.A. London has fallen reaction.
Warning: The following reaction contains spoilers and adult language. It is not a synopsis. I am not responsible for any loss or offence you might take from reading this post.
I saw this movie tonight. I could've seen Deadpool but my dad doesn't appreciate it's brilliance, so we went for the action movie instead.
This is my reaction.
If you write in the comments how many spoilers are in this post, I will email you a greeting card. Yes, I will actually do it.
Warning: Please take under consideration that this post includes sensitive content. I do not take any responsibility for any offence you might take in result of reading this post and I strongly advise getting a sense of humour.
-For my lovely Potterheads: may the Valentine's day sweeten your life with sales at Honeydukes.
The V-day is approaching very quickly and many old/cheesy pick-up lines are way overused on it. If you want to make a good first impression, these are the things you probably should not say:
1. Your name must be Severus Severus, because you're making my prince full blood.
2. I've been whomping my willow thinking about you.
3. I'd like to get my basilisk into your chamber of secrets.
4. What do ya say you and me go look for the Room of Requirement?
5. One night with me and they'll be calling you MOANING Myrtle.
6. I'm not wearing an invisibility cloak, but do you think I could still visit your restricted section tonight?
9. Going to bed? Mind if I Slytherin?
I hope you enjoyed reading this post. If you know any other cringe worthy pick-up lines, make sure to share them in the comments.
Have a great Valentine's day whatever your relationship status may be.
Warning: this post is pretty long but it is worth reading.
This story is about when I was in Warsaw at the end of January for my school. I was staying at my sister's over the weekend, since my flat is 6 hours away.
So, Saturday after 6 pm I had just walked out the school building and I realised my bus is in 3 minutes, so I ran towards the bus stop ON THE STREET. No, not the sidewalk. The street. I saw my bus approaching as I was still halfway to the stop and ran like crazy waving my hands in front of him. The last time I did that.. I was on the side of the road and the bus driver left. This time I made sure I'm straight up in the middle of it so he can't.
January has passed like cold wind in the mountains and I'm guilty of not noticing it. Do better next month :)
Anyway, I enjoyed alot of things that I would like to share with you.
Hi, I believe that there is no one today who is you-er than you.
